A lifelong resident of Massachusetts, Ryan Swanson has over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry, seven of which have been served at the Hampshire House. Starting in 2003, Ryan took over the lead bartending position and his strong leadership and friendly personality quickly landed him in a management role as Assistant Operations Manager. During that time Ryan was also attending the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2005 with degrees in both History and International Relations. Following his graduation he made the decision to stay in the hospitality field having found a love for fine wine and cuisine, and as Operations Manager maintains the team of wait-staff that provide the unequalled service that the Hampshire House offers. Along with his brother, Ryan operates a successful wine blog sharing suggestions and pairings from vintners and sommeliers across the country. He is also a constant reader and an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time on the water both kayaking and fishing.
