When can I come in for a tour of the venue?
We are available based on our event schedule, by appointment only.
How many guests can you accommodate at the Hampshire House?
Our second-floor space, consisting of The Library and Baker Bar, can seat 100 guests for a plated meal and up to 200 for a reception-style event.
Our third-floor space, consisting of the Thayer, Abbott, and Codman rooms; can seat 60 guests for a plated meal and up to 100 for a reception-style event.
Is your space handicap accessible?
There is a wheelchair lift at the front entrance of the building, as well as two elevators to each level and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
How is your space sold?
Our space is sold by floor with a food & beverage minimum, ceremony, and rental fees per floor. These rates vary by the time of day and date of your celebration.
Our space does not require a minimum guest count. Rather, we apply a food and beverage minimum. Should your actual charges be less than your established minimum, the difference will be billed to you as an open charge.
For daytime events, we suggest an 11 AM start time with guests leaving by 4 PM. Evening events typically begin anytime after 5 PM.
Can I get ready on-site?
We do have two small rooms located on the fourth floor available as changing areas which can typically be accessed two hours prior to your event.
Hair and makeup should be done off-site, however, you can certainly get dressed and do final touch-ups once you arrive at our venue.
Can I have my ceremony at The Hampshire House?
Yes, we offer ceremony service on the second or third floor.
We can offer a ceremony rehearsal, with the timing to be discussed with your sales coordinator
How long would my wedding celebration be?
When hosting a ceremony and wedding at the Hampshire House, your guests may enjoy 5.5 hours. With reception only, we permit 5 hours. Please consult your sales coordinator for information on extending
What will the Hampshire House provide to me?
With our kitchens located on each floor, the Hampshire House is proud to offer full in-house catering.
Our experienced sales coordinators will guide you in planning your menus, timeline for your event, and floorplans.
In addition, we provide tables, chairs, staffing, glassware & cutlery, linens, votive candles, table numbers, menu cards, complimentary coat check, and assistance with ceremony coordination.
Some guests choose to upgrade certain items for a fee and can be discussed with your sales coordinator.
What can I provide to enhance my event?
We often see clients providing flowers, welcome signs, custom cocktail napkins, custom menus and escort cards, favors, and a guestbook.
Do you provide a tasting for menu selections?
Tastings are included for those booking our wedding packages with 50 guests or more. Once a contract has been established, tastings can be scheduled 3-4 months prior to your event date. Please consult your sales coordinator to schedule
How many entrée selections can I offer to my guests?
The Hampshire House allows up to three entrée selections with entrée counts provided at least 14 business days prior to the event.
I have guests with allergies and dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate this?
Our culinary team makes every effort to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions. Please provide this information when planning your wedding menu.
When do you need to know my total guest count?
Your final guest and entrée counts are due 14 business days in advance of your event.
Can I bring in my own vendors, such as DJ or Live Entertainment, Photographer, Videographer, and Florist?
You may choose your own vendors or we can provide a list of preferred vendors. If you opt for a vendor not on our preferred list, we require the industry standard of their Certificate of Insurance.
Please note that our Live Entertainment License is for a maximum of five performers (musicians and vocalists).
Vendors may arrive up to two hours prior to the start time of your event for set-up, pending other events in the building. Please confirm with your sales coordinator in advance.

To reserve your date with the Hampshire House, please contact a sales coordinator. We will create a contract that requires a signature and a 50% deposit of the food and beverage minimum to secure the space and date.
